F3DSearch can be used to make topic-specific, horizontal portals by creating and maintaining a hybrid search engine-directory. The link-indexer, included for the gathering web page information, is frame-compatible. Other features include: fully-customizable templates, advanced boolean and category searches, a sophisticated relevance system, and the use of a proprietary database system instead of a SQL database.
