Link Indexing with Frames Support:
F3DSearch uses a link indexer to gather information about each web page included in the directory, saving time otherwise spent manually visiting sites and adding descriptions, keywords, etc. for a page. Furthermore, the link indexer is frames compatible, meaning that it can index sites that use frames.

Use of Proprietary Database Format:
F3DSearch uses a proprietary database format, requiring no external database software. Moreover, the special database format allows for faster searches than other similar software that reference external SQL databases.

Fully Customizable Templates:
F3DSearch uses a fully customizable HTML template system, allowing for the search and directory to seamlessly blend into the look and feel of a website. The HTML template system allows for the editing of HTML, rather than programming code, to modify the look of search results.

Advanced Boolean and Category Searches:
F3DSearch features advanced searches. Boolean searches using the tags "AND", "OR", and "NOT", as well as category specific searches are allowed.

Sophisticated Relevance System:
Search results are based on a special relevance system, unique to F3DSearch, to try and find the most relevant results for the search. The relevance system also allows the manual application of a "cheat factor" to certain pages, to tweak results.
