Features: - Parse RDF Dumps from Open Directory Project - Fully Customizable Templates - Whole and Partial Directory Parsing - Creation of Static HTML - Ease of Use Parse RDF Dumps from Open Directory Project: iHierarchy parses RDF dumps from the Open Directory Project (ODP) to provide concise directory information from which to build a vertical portal. The data provided by the ODP represents a directory larger in size and faster growing than Yahoo!. Fully Customizable Templates: iHierarchy uses Simiax's proprietary HTML template system, allowing for seamless integration of the ODP into a website. Different HTML templates can be assigned to different sub-categories and specific categories. Whole and Partial Directory Parsing: iHierarchy can parse the whole ODP directory, or only a specified subset of the directory. This allows for flexibility in the use of software, ranging from large portals using the whole directory to small sites using site-specific topics. Creation of Static HTML: iHierarchy generates static HTML pages for all the included categories, bypassing the strain on system resources caused by programs that dynamically fetch results from the ODP's website and display the results. This allows iHierarchy to accommodate larger numbers of visitors than is possible with other scripts. Ease of Use: iHierarchy can be run in batch jobs, reducing time required to operate the software. Furthermore, iHierarchy completes creation of the directory in about one hour (times will vary with different systems).
